Leah K Barison, LMHC, LADC-I

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with experience treating adolescents and adults in individual, couples, and group settings. I have been an invited guest to provide workshops and trainings on mental health topics, and have been featured in several articles. In addition to my work at Commonwealth Therapy, I maintain a position on staff at Boston University as a Mental Health Counselor.

As an undergraduate, I attended Bard College at Simon’s Rock and Connecticut College. I worked at McLean Hospital for several years before receiving a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College. I have clinical experience working in residential, outpatient, community, and college mental health. My approach draws from several evidence-based modalities to provide effective individualized care.

Whether you are currently struggling with something difficult or looking for a competitive edge, we can address your specific needs. Through the therapeutic process, my clients have experienced improvements in mood, relationships, confidence, sense of purpose, and achievement.

My areas of clinical expertise include relationship issues, adjustment, substance abuse, work/life balance, anxiety, depression, stress-reduction, and mindfulness.

I look forward to meeting you and working together!
